23rd October 2016 – Ickworth Park

In a change to the advertised laurel bashing, we instead were given the task of starting to de-bramble the hedge along the Albana Walk overlooking the valley. The mass of brambles in the field beyond had started to infiltrate the hedge, so first we created a gap between the bramble mass and the hedge to give us somewhere to work and to get to the base of the hedge brambles. This will also serve to try to prevent the brambles from growing back in the hedge. We managed to remove a lot of bramble, and received a lot of positive comments from passing walkers!

Well done everyone for all your hard work today.
